By Metro

From Northern Virginia: Take Interstate 95 (Capital Beltway--Outer Loop 495) toward Alexandria. Proceed across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and continue to Pennsylvania Avenue where you get off at Exit 11 West.

  1. Continue West on Pennsylvania Avenue to Silver Hill Road (approximately 2.5 miles). At the traffic light of Pennsylvania Avenue and Silver Hill Road take a left (Penn Station Shopping Center on right corner, Recreation Vehicles Business on left corner).

  2. Follow Silver Hill Road to the fourth traffic light. Turn right at the light into the Suitland Federal Center at Gate 5. Park at the guard station to register and obtain a visitor's parking permit. The guard will direct you to the visitor's parking area and the entrance of the building you are visiting.

From Bethesda/Silver Spring/Wheaton: Take the Capital Beltway--Inner Loop (will be either Interstate 495 East or 95 South depending on where you get on Beltway) toward Andrews Air Force/Richmond. Get off at Exit 11 West, Pennsylvania Avenue - Washington, D.C. Follow directions as listed on "A" and "B" above.

From Washington, D.C.: Take Pennsylvania Avenue East into the State of Maryland to Silver Hill Road (approximately 2.5 miles from state line). Turn right at Silver Hill Road. Follow directions "B" from above.

From Southern Maryland: Take U.S. Route 301 North to Branch Avenue North (Route 5 North). Continue to Silver Hill Road. Turn right on Silver Hill Road and proceed to Swann Road (4th traffic light from Branch Avenue). Turn left at traffic light on to the Suitland Federal Center at Gate 5. Park at the guard station to register and obtain a visitor's parking permit. The guard will direct you to the visitor's parking area and the entrance of the building you are visiting.

From Virginia Interstate 395: Take Interstate 395 North. Follow I395 North (I-395 is called the Southwest Freeway in the District of Columbia) to follow the left most lanes to Pennsylvania Avenue-East exit. Follow directions from Washington, D.C.

Directions to the Silver Hill Executive Plaza (SHEP)

From Washington D.C.: Take Pennsylvania Ave. south to Branch Ave. Turn right onto Branch. Follow Branch until you get to Iverson Mall (on right). Turn left onto Silver Hill road. Go one block to traffic light. Turn right onto St. Barnabas Road. Chevy Chase Bank is on the right. Go a short way down and turn right onto Wilkinson Drive. SHEP is on the left.

From Virginia: Using 95/495N take beltway exit 7B. This will put you on Branch Ave. (rt.5). Get in the third lane. The first two lanes are turn only. Stay on Branch Ave. about 1 mile. Turn right onto St. Barnabas Rd. (rt. 414 east). Get in the left lane and go through the stop light and past the condos. Make next left onto Wilkinson Drive. SHEP is on the left.

From Maryland: Using 95/495S take beltway exit 7B. This will put you on Auth Rd. Turn left at light. Turn right at next light. This will put you on Branch Ave. north. Get in second lane. the first lane is turn only. Stay on Branch about 1 mile. Turn right onto St. Barnabas Road (rt 414 east). Get in left lane and go through stop light and past the condos. make next left onto Wilkerson Drive. SHEP is on the left.

Suitland Federal Center Maps

Note: Due to ongoing construction, visitor parking at the Suitland Federal Center is now located between Building 3 and Building 4, adjacent to Building 3.
