FBI Searching for Eugene Man Wanted for Bank Robbery

The FBI is asking for the public's help in locating a Eugene man wanted in connection with the April 28, 2003, robbery of the Pacific Cascade Federal Credit Union, 1155 Chambers Street, Eugene, Oregon. Since being charged with the robbery, WILLIAM LEE STIDHEM has disappeared.

STIDHEM is described as:

White man
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 220 pounds
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown
Build: Medium

The robbery happened about 3:20 p.m. Within minutes, the Eugene Police Department had tracked the stolen money to STIDHEM's home on Grant Street. Over the course of the next few hours, police and FBI agents would arrest two men who were hiding in the crawl space of the tri-plex: WAYNE WOOD and JOSHUA HICKS. During the investigation that followed, investigators determined that WOOD, HICKS and STIDHEM had all conspired to commit the robbery. WOOD and HICKS are currently awaiting trial.

On May 6, 2003, a federal district judge issued an arrest warrant for STIDHEM. He faces two charges: bank robbery and conspiracy to commit bank robbery. He is believed to still be in the Eugene/Springfield area.
