INDIVIDUAL
ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

E. Lewis, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation
in Oklahoma, announced the arrest of Brian Bass, 32, of Enid, Oklahoma,
for possession of child pornography.
Information was received by the Oklahoma City Division of the FBI as
a result of Operation Candyman, a nationwide crackdown on the proliferation
of child pornography via the Internet, that occurred last year. The
information provided from Operation Candyman indicated that Brian Bass
may be downloading images of child pornography to his personal computer.
Further information gathered from the investigation conducted by the
Enid Resident Agency of the FBI and the Enid Police Department led to
Brian Bass being Indicted in the Western District of Oklahoma on May
8, 2003, for five counts of violation of Title 18, United States Code,
Section 2252A(a)(5)(B), Possession of Child Pornography.
On May 12, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Bass was arrested without incident
at his residence in Enid. He was arrested by the FBI and Enid Police
Department.
