REWARD FOR INFORMATION ABOUT INDIVIDUALS RESPONSIBLE FOR A DOMESTIC TERRORISM ACT

John E. Lewis, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, and Oscar Villanueva, Inspector in Charge, United States Postal Inspection Service, Southwest Division, announced the reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the individuals responsible for a domestic terrorism act against an FBI Agent has been increased to $20,000.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is matching the $10,000 reward being offered by the FBI. Additionally, besides joining the investigation, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is distributing approximately 8,000 information flyers to residents in McAlester and surrounding areas.

At approximately 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 4, a homemade explosive device was detonated in the mailbox of an FBI Agent assigned to the McAlester Resident Agency. The mailbox was located in a rural area east of McAlester in Pittsburg County.
