FBI REQUESTS PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING BANK ROBBER

Louis M. Reigel, III, Special Agent in Charge (SAC), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), New Orleans Division, and Jack A. Stephens, Sheriff, St. Bernard Sheriff's Office, are asking the public's help in identifying the man who robbed the First Bank and Trust located at 8356 W. Judge Perez Drive, St. Bernard, Louisiana on Friday, June 6, 2003. A photograph of the bank robber is attached.

At approximately 11:20 A.M., a lone black male entered the First Bank and Trust, displayed a weapon and demanded money from the teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled in a blue pick-up truck.

This robber is also suspected in committing other bank robberies in the Greater New Orleans area since July 2002, using the same method.

A description of this bank robbery suspect is set forth below:

Race: Black
Gender: Male
Age: 30 to 50 years
Height: 5'11" to 6'1"
Weight: 180 - 200 lbs.
Hair: Black, short afro

Clothing: Printed, short sleeved button shirt and light colored Docker style pants
Miscellaneous: Large framed prescription eyeglasses
