FBI SEEKS PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING A BANK ROBBER

Louis M. Reigel, III , Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Edwin P. Compass, III, Superintendent, New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the man who robbed a Loomis Fargo & Company (LFC) guard on June 2, 2003. A composite of this robber is attached.

At approximately 8:20 A.M. on June 2, 2003 a lone male approached an LFC guard in the parking lot of City Wholesale Liquor Company (CWL) at 4340 Washington Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana. The robber approached the guard from behind, displayed a handgun, and demanded the money the guard had just picked up at CWL. The robber took the money and ordered the guard to run away. As the guard ran across the CWL parking lot, the robber fired one shot, missing the guard. No one was injured.

The robber is described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, 5'10", 165 pounds, with black braided hair. The robber was wearing a black New Orleans Saints ball cap, a black short sleeve t-shirt, black pants and black sneakers.


A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by the FBI for information leading to an arrest and indictment of this robber. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at
