This letter announces online, instructor-led training sessions for 2004-05 EDExpress users. Topics covered are: Origination, Disbursement, and Reconciliation

Dear Partner:

We are pleased to announce three interactive, instructor-led online training sessions in EDExpress Pell Grant Processing: one on origination, a second on disbursements, and a third on Reconciliation. Registering for these sessions will allow you to attend hands-on, interactive EDExpress software training without leaving your desk.

Each module will show participants how to use the EDExpress software to create accurate records and submit corrections that are accepted the first time. Additionally, the Reconciliation module will help participants identify reports from both EDExpress and the COD system that will help them reconcile. The modules are aimed at financial aid office staff who have an intermediate knowledge of the Title IV rules and regulations governing the Pell grant program and day to day responsibility for using EDExpress to process Pell Grant records. You may take the modules in any order.

Each session will be conducted by two federal trainers and will last 90 minutes. The sessions will provide hands-on exercises in using EDExpress, along with supplemental study materials that can be downloaded from the web. During the session, you will be able to interact with the instructors and classmates via telephone conference as well as ask questions using your computer's keyboard.

Spanish sessions: A limited number of these sessions will be offered in Spanish.

You must register to participate. We are limiting class size to ten participants per session to ensure a high quality training experience, so sign up early as participation is first-come, first-served. Classes are scheduled from June through August. Please check the registration page below for a list of classes. We will be offering a range of days and times to better accommodate your busy schedules. Check the Web Address below for specific times and dates, for both English and Spanish sessions.
