Mary Jacqueline Levitz was last seen on November 18, 1995, by a sales clerk at a local business in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She was discovered missing from her home in Vicksburg on November 20, 1995. There were possible signs in her home of foul play; however, no ransom demand was received. At the time of her disappearance, her home was undergoing extensive remodeling, although she was still living there. Mrs. Levitz was the wife of Ralph Levitz, Co-Founder of Levitz Furniture, who died in early 1995. Mrs. Levitz moved to Vicksburg in October of 1995 to be near her family. Federal and local law enforcement authorities are still actively pursuing investigative leads, and are continuing to evaluate evidence and conduct interviews regarding Levitz's disappearance. |
