Welcome to the Boundary and Annexation website. We request your boundaries that are effective on January 1.
The United States Census Bureau is conducting the 2004 Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS) to update the information it has about the legal boundaries, names, governmental status, and types of municipalities in the United States. The Census Bureau will use the boundary information that you provide to us in various programs and surveys, such as the American Community Survey and in the Population Estimates Program.
The time needed to complete and file this form will vary. The estimated average time is 30 minutes. This includes the time needed to read the instructions, assemble materials, organize and review the information, and report any needed changes. Send comments regarding this burden estimate or any other aspect of this collection and information, including suggestions for reducing this burden to:
