The Program Management Center provides overall
Program policy formulation, Program planning,
and strategic direction for the Civilian Radioactive
Waste Management Program. In addition, the Center
is responsible for Program management, integration,
and performance measurement and reporting; nuclear
safety, security, and quality assurance; and Program
budget development and execution.
The Center interacts with the U.S. Congress, the
Office of Management and Budget, regulatory and
oversight bodies, other Federal, state, and local
government agencies, international entities, Program
customers and stakeholders, and the public at
large. Finally, the Center supports the Yucca
Mountain Project and the Waste
Acceptance and Transportation Project in such
areas as human and financial resources management,
baseline management and control, total system
life cycle cost analysis, Nuclear Waste Fund management,
internal and external audits, and other cross-cutting
functions.
