Gregg "Skip" D.
Bailey -- Assistant Director, Information Resources Division
Dr. Bailey comes
to the FBI with a rich background in industry, as well
as non-profit organizations. Dr. Bailey received his Bachelor
of Science degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University.
Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree, Dr.
Bailey received both a Master's Degree and a Ph.D. from
New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico. The
pursuit of both degrees focused on Human Computer Interaction,
with Artificial Intelligence as a related area. This blend
of Psychology and Computer Science prepared Dr. Bailey
for a diverse career that has called on abilities to communicate
effectively, see the big picture, build divergent teams,
and drive solutions from strategy through tactics and into
operations.
While pursuing his education, Dr. Bailey worked as a Consultant
for Computer Psychology Inc. and AT&T. At the completion
of his education, Dr. Bailey began working for The Church
of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His
most recent assignment was as the Chief Technology Officer and Director of
Engineering and Architecture for the world wide organization. Dr. Bailey held
positions as Director of Global Operations, Director of Human Resources and
Special Projects, Project Manager for Global Networks, and Product Manager
for Internet Presence. He also served as Center of Excellence Leader for Reusable
Component Assemblers and member of the Reuse Product Management Council, Co-Director
of Operations for Development Services, Manager of Human Factors, and Manager
of the Usability Laboratory for the Information Systems Department.
Dr. Bailey has
also been an adjunct faculty member at Brigham Young University,
The University of Phoenix Salt Lake Campus, New Mexico
State University, Salt Lake Community College, and Westminster
College. Dr. Bailey has served on advisory boards for Brigham
Young University's Information Technology program and Utah
State University's Business Information Systems program.
In addition to these experiences, Dr. Bailey has been very
active in many professional organizations by serving on
boards, writing papers, and participating at a local as
well as national level. He was appointed Assistant Director
of the FBI's Information Resources Division in October
2002.
