Office of Scientific Programs

The Office of Scientific Programs is committed to providing support to NCI Investigators for site visit reviews, reporting, scientific awards, promotions, and recruitment of Postdoctoral fellows. OSP strives to enhance the intramural research environment by:

Facilitating the site visit review and implementation process. http://ccrintra.cancer.gov and http://dino.nci.nih.gov/admin/iro/.
Coordinating the Board of Scientific Counselor Activities with the Institute Review Office.
Collecting Annual Reports and coding information for tracking scientific dollars.
Answering Congressional inquiries and reporting on areas of special concern for Congressional Justification/Reporting.
Coordinating Promotion Panel Activities, including promotions for SRA, SS, Staff Clinicians, Nurses, Tenure Conversions, and SBRS Appointments.
Nominating CCR Investigators for Scientific Awards.
Providing assistance with recruitment of Postdoctoral Fellow/Trainees
Serving as liaisons for the Faculties and Working Groups.
