Although medical research traditionally has been divided
into basic and clinical studies, the National Cancer Institute's (NCI's)
Center for Cancer Research (CCR) does not make this distinction. The Center
believes that basic and clinical scientists are complementary to each other
in pursuing new strategies against cancer and AIDS. As a reflection of this
team-oriented approach to science, this section of our site is organized
under the following broad headings:
Faculties Branch/Lab Index Principal Investigators Index Provides CCR investigators with opportunities to access advanced technologies and scientific resources. Office of Scientific Programs The Office of Scientific Programs performs many duties that aid the programatic work of CCR including facilitating CCR investigators with site visit review and implementation processes, coordinating and collecting Annual Reports, CV's and Tenure Track evaluations from investigators and lab chiefs, and reporting on areas of special concern for Congress.
