Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will administer the oath of office at a swearing-in ceremony Sept. 21 at 4:30 p.m. EDT.

            The following individuals will be sworn in as the first Military Commissions Review Panel members:

            Judge Griffin Bell, former circuit judge, U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit.

            Judge Edward G. Beister, judge Court of Common Pleas of Bucks County, Pa.

            William Coleman, former transportation secretary under President Ford.

            Chief Justice Frank Williams, Rhode Island Supreme Court.

            The ceremony will take place in the Deputy Secretary of Defense Conference Room (Pentagon 3E869). 

            Members of the media without a Pentagon building pass will be met at the North Parking entrance only.  Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.  Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building.
