NEWS RELEASE

R. Joe Clark, Special Agent in Charge of the Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced
the robbery of the Suntrust Bank located at 9541 Northshore Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee, at approximately 3:40 p.m. today, by a lone male robber.

The robber entered the bank and made an oral demand for the money. The robber obtained an undisclosed amount of money, and fled the bank in a white four-door car, with no hubcaps and tinted windows. The car was described as an early 90's model, similar to a Plymouth Acclaim.

Witnesses described the robber as a white male in his 40's, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing between 190 to 200 pounds. The robber was wearing yellow sunglasses with gold circles on them, and a blue hooded windbreaker.
