DIVISION
The FBI has responsibility for a wide range of violent crimes, including bank robberies, extortion, kidnapping, fugitives, interstate theft, interstate transportation of stolen vehicles, gangs, crimes on Government reservations and crimes against children.
To enhance crime fighting ability, the FBI often partners with state and local law enforcement authorities in task forces designed to address specific crime problems.
The FBI has 3 national strategies which serve as the framework for combating violent crime.
