NOAA Fisheries 2004 Biological Opinion

  • September 9, 2004:  NOAA Fisheries today released and filed its Draft Biological Opinion on the operations of the Federal Columbia River Power System.  NOAA Fisheries is seeking comment from the salmon co-managers on the draft BiOp.  Also released today is the FCRPS Action Agencies' Updated Proposed Action, upon which the draft biological opinion is based.  All briefing materials and handouts are also available on the BiOp Remand section of the Federal Caucus Website.
     

  • August 31, 2004:  NOAA Fisheries today announced that it is nearing completion of a draft plan to protect Columbia and Snake River salmon and steelhead.  The performance-based plan is expected to avoid jeopardy to ESA-listed species.  The notice to the Court, a news release and a fact sheet are posted on the BiOp Remand section of the Federal Caucus Website.
