TV Station Airs Gun Safety Announcement

WJZ-TV in Baltimore, Maryland, this week will begin airing a series of 15-second public service announcements stressing the importance of gun safety to parents, teens, and children. The ads are funded by a grant from Project Safe Neighborhood.

Crime Rates in Louisiana Town are Down

Lake Charles city and police officials report that 2003 crime statistics are down nearly 4 percent. Project Safe Neighborhood is one of the initiatives helping the city fight crime.

Undercover Investigation Leads to Drug and Firearm Conviction

A Worcester, Massachusetts, man was convicted October 5 on federal firearms and drug offenses. He was arrested after an undercover investigation by the Worcester Police Department.
