The Zionist Organization of America on November 18, 1943, held a meeting in the Jewish Community Center Auditorium in San Francisco with approximately 1,000 people attending. Rabbi James G. Holler addressed the crowd with the overflow crowd listening to the speech over the loud speaker. This group had been targeted by the American Council for Judaism for its "political" and "nationalistic" aims. Rabbi Holler repudiated the charges stating that the Jewish people are interested in a Jewish National State. The Zionist Organization of America is headquartered in New York City, and was active in fund raising campaigns for Jewish relief in Europe and Palestine. This file was continued until 1976.
