FBI and INS to Host Community Outreach Forum

Thomas J. Kneir, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Brian R. Perryman, District Director of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), will co-host a Community Outreach Forum tonight at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

The forum will provide an opportunity for local community leaders to discuss legal mandates governing the FBI and INS to identify issues of concern to members of their respective communities.  Over 100 community representatives are expected to attend what is hoped will be a respectful and candid discussion of relevant issues, following the tragic events of September 11th.

The forum will be held at the UIC Circle Center, 750 South Halsted Street in the Illinois Room 322.  The forum will begin promptly at 7:00 PM with brief remarks from SAC Kneir and Director Perryman, followed by a question and answer period.  The forum is scheduled to conclude at 9:00 PM.
