Reward Offered In Bank Robbery Investigation

Kathleen L. McChesney, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public's help in identifying the two men responsible for the January 12, 2001 robbery of the TCF Bank branch, located at 7530 South Stoney Island in Chicago.

Both robbers were armed with semi-automatic handguns, which they threatened employees with during the robbery. Robber number 1 is described as a black/male, 25-30 years of age, 5'9" tall, medium build and complexion, with a scar on the right side of his face. Robber number 2 is described as a black/male, 18-20 years of age, 5'5" tall, medium build.

As part of the investigation, TCF Bank of Illinois is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of these individuals.
