August 29, 2001 Task Force Shooting Update As part of the ongoing investigation into the shooting yesterday of FBI Fugitive Task Force Officer Joseph Airhart, Federal search warrants were obtained for the residence located at 9220 South Dauphin in Chicago; the apartment located at 1307 South Wabash in Chicago and a 2001 Ford Expedition. The affidavit in support of these search warrants, which is attached, contains additional details regarding the investigation into the August 24th robbery of the Charter One Bank, located at 3250 West 87th Street in Chicago and the search for, and attempted arrest of DANIEL SALLEY on August 28th by FBI Task Force Members. Additional information will be provided to the media as it becomes available. |
