- Calendar of PSN Training Opportunities - PSN Training and Technical Assistance Providers - Managing and Maximizing Justice Funds at the State and Local Levels The Bureau of Justice Assistance is planning four regional conferences to provide state, tribal, and local criminal justice policymakers and practitioners with information to improve criminal justice operations, services, and programs. Topics will include promising practices, emerging issues, and administrative changes. Participants may also meet directly with BJA staff. The 2-day course is free.
- Michigan State University Training
MSU has developed specialized workshops for PSN Coordinators and Research Partners to support implementation of the data-driven strategic process.
Additionally, MSU is developing a rural workshop for PSN Coordinators and Research Partners to support implementation of PSN in rural-focused districts. This workshop is planned for April 2004.
- PSN Gun Recovery and Enforcement Initiative Training Program The course is designed around a 24 hour, three day format and may be extended to address specific requests and needs of any local US Attorney`s Office. The "Primary Course Components" listed constitute the typical 24 hour program with any number of "Optional Course Components" added as requested by the local USAO.
- Project Safe Neighborhoods Enforcement Training This three day, intensive course on illegal firearms interdiction is a collaborative effort among the U.S. Department of Justice, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, The National District Attorney`s Association, the National Crime Prevention Council and ATF.
- Comprehensive Training Catalog Following is a list of training initiatives specifically designed to support Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) as well as other courses and trainings that could be used to implement or expand various aspects of Project Safe Neighborhoods.
- Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives(ATF) Project Safe Neighborhoods Resources ATF’s Office of Training and Professional Development has designed a comprehensive package of training and training aids to support the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) initiative.
- New Training in Support of Project Safe Neighborhoods Law Enforcement Partnerships to Reduce Gun Violence and Engaging the Community to Reduce Gun Violence.
