Rolling Meadows Man Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

Thomas J. Kneir, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today the arrest of BRUCE EDWARD WALKER, age 41, of 4738 Arbor Drive in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. WALKER was arrested late Friday evening at his residence, without incident, by FBI Special Agents and Detectives from the Lake County, Illinois Sheriffs office and the Rolling Meadows Police department.

WALKER was charged in a criminal complaint filed earlier today in U.S. District Court in Chicago, with one count of production of child pornography with intent to distribute, which is a felony offense. According to the complaint, WALKER operated a website that provided pornographic images of minors to website subscribers.

WALKER appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ian Levin this morning, who ordered him held without bond pending his next scheduled court appearance on Thursday. If convicted, WALKER faces up to 20 years incarceration, with a mandatory minium of 10 years.

In making this announcement, SAC Kneir wishes to thank both the Lake County Sheriffs office and the Rolling Meadows Police department for the invaluable assistance both agencies provided with this investigation.

The public is reminded that a complaint is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

EDITOR's NOTE: A copy of the complaint filed in this case is available from the Chicago FBI Press Office at (312) 786-2645.
