Lynwood Man Arrested on Fraud Charges

Thomas J. Kneir, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today the arrest of LINSEY SAVAGE, age 37, of 20360 Blue Stem Parkway in Lynwood. SAVAGE was arrested by FBI Agents and Lynwood Police Officers, without incident, late Saturday evening as he was leaving his residence.

The arrest was based on a warrant issued in U.S. District Court in Toledo, Ohio, following SAVAGE's indictment by a Federal Grand Jury on charges of Mail Fraud, Insurance Fraud and Fraud by Wire. The charges were the result of an investigation conducted by the FBI in Toledo, which targeted the Liberte Capital Group.

SAVAGE appeared earlier today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Morton Denlow in Chicago, at which time he was released on bond. As a condition of his release, SAVAGE must surrender to Federal Authorities in Toledo to answer the above charges.

The public is reminded that an indictment is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
