Robber Sought in North Community Theft

Thomas J. Kneir, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating the individual depicted in the attached photograph, who is believed responsible for the February 22nd robbery of the North Community Bank branch, located at 1955 North Damen Avenue in Chicago.

According to witnesses, the robber entered the bank at approximately 6:30 PM, approached a teller and demanded money from her drawer. The robber was armed with a black and silver, semi-automatic handgun, which he used to threaten the teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the robber fled the bank on foot, last direction of travel not observed.

The robber is described as a black/male, 20-25 years of age, 5'5" - 5'7" tall, stocky build. He was wearing a black sweater with "Pelle" written on the front and silver pants. Anyone recognizing this individual or having information about this robbery is asked to call the FBI at (312) 431-1333.
