Kansas Fugitive Arrested at O'Hare

Thomas J. Kneir, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today the arrest of ALEJANDRO BADILLA, age 28, whose last known address was in Wichita, Kansas. BADILLA was arrested by FBI Special Agents at O'Hare International Airport, without incident, late yesterday afternoon.

BADILLA, who was wanted by the FBI in Kansas City for his role in a bank fraud investigation, was a passenger on a United Airlines flight that originated in Mexico. He was arrested after the flight arrived at O'HARE.

BADILLA appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ian H. Levin, earlier today, at which time he was ordered held without bond, pending his return to Kansas City.

The public is reminded that an arrest warrant is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
