The Christic Institute is a non-profit interfaith public interest law firm and public policy center formed in 1980's. A Federal Lawsuit was filed against 29 Americans, Nicaraguan Contras and others with criminal conspiracy involving gun running, drug smuggling, murder and the bombing of a press conference with American reporters. One journalist was crippled in the attack, and they planned to kill United States Ambassador Lewis Tambs. In 1986, Tony Avirgan, the injured journalist, and his wife, Martha Honey filed a lawsuit against with Daniel P. Sheehan, Esquire, Christic Institute, representing them in the law suit.
