Bank Employee Arrested For Embezzlement

Kathleen L. McChesney, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today the arrest of LANISHA R. MARTIN, age 26, of Addison, Illinois. MARTIN was arrested by FBI agents, without incident, at her place of employment, the Harris Bank Branch on Route 53 in Lisle, Illinois.

MARTIN will be charged in a criminal complaint filed later today in U.S. District Court in Chicago, with embezzling in excess of $50,000 from two (2) separate Chicago area banks. MARTIN is being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in Chicago, pending her appearance in court, later today or tomorrow morning.

The public is reminded that a complaint is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
