Fraud Suspect Arrested

Kathleen L. McChesney, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today the arrest of CALVIN LOCKHART, age 43, of Chicago, Illinois. LOCKHART was arrested earlier today by FBI Agents, without incident, in the vicinity of Kedzie and Chicago avenues.

LOCKHART has been a fugitive from Justice since August of this year, when he was charged in a criminal complaint filed in U. S. District Court in Chicago with defrauding three (3) area banks of over $30,000. LOCKHART is scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sidney Schenkier, later today.

The public is reminded that a complaint is not evidence of guilt and that all defendants in a criminal case are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
