Suspected Jewel Thief Sought

Kathleen L. McChesney, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is asking for the Public's help in locating WILLIAM ROBERT BROWN, a.k.a. Billy Brown.

BROWN was charged last month in a Federal Grand Jury indictment, along with five others, with various violations of Federal Law in connection with an interstate jewel theft ring that operated out of Chicago.

BROWN is described as a white/male, 75 years of age, 5'8" tall, 185 pounds, white hair, blue eyes, with a tattoo on his left forearm. In the past, he has resided in and traveled between Chicago and Phoenix.

BROWN is a convicted felon and is also wanted by the FBI in Phoenix for Federal Firearms violations. He should be considered Armed and Dangerous. Anyone with information regarding BROWN's current whereabouts is asked to call the Chicago FBI at (312) 431-1333.
