Serial Bank Robber Strikes Again

Kathleen L. McChesney, Special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), is asking for the public's help in identifying the individual who is now suspected of robbing six (6) banks in the Chicago area in the past two months.

At approximately, 11:45 A.M., the MIDWEST BANK AND TRUST, 300 South Michigan, was robbed of an undetermined amount of money by a lone robber. The robber approached the teller and orally demanded cash. Upon receiving the currency, the robber fled the bank through the north side doors and was last seen running westbound on Jackson.

This individual is described as a Black/ Male, 30-42 years of age, 5'11" tall, 180lbs, with short hair. At the time of today's robbery he was wearing a tan brimmed baseball type hat, tan button up short sleeve shirt, and black "wrap around" style sunglasses.

This individual is also suspected of the August 21st robbery of the ASSOCIATED BANK, 225 N. MICHIGAN AVE, August 17th and the August 2nd robberies of the MID- CITY NATIONAL BANK, 1 East Wacker, the July 26th robbery of the CHICAGO COMMUNITY BANK, 180 North Michigan, and the July 18th robbery of the FIRSTAR BANK , 30 North Michigan. All banks are located in Chicago, Illinois

This is the forty-seventh (47th) bank robbery in the Chicagoland area since January 1st of this year.
