Overview of PSN Grants
The Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) grant program will has four separate funding initiatives.  First among these initiatives are the crime analyst and the media and outreach programs. Should you wish to be considered as a grant recipient for the following, please contact the PSN coordinator in your U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Research Partner/Crime Analyst Grant
Funding
– BJA awarded approximately $150,000 for three-year grants to one recipient located in each of the 93 federal judicial districts. These grants are designed to support the strategic planning and accountability components of the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Initiative. Additionally, support will be provided to the selected sites through training, technical assistance, and workshops for the analysts and research partners to better support the efforts of the local gun violence task forces.

Program Goals – The goals of this program are: (1) to increase the capacity of PSN Task Forces to design data driven strategies that produce measurable decreases in firearm-related violent crime; and (2) to improve the long term ability of federal, state, and local partners to work together to understand, prosecute, and prevent firearm related violent crime within their jurisdictions.

Program Purpose -- To support research partners or crime analysts to analyze firearms related violent crime data, develop data-driven interventions, and measure the effectiveness of those interventions in reducing firearms related violent crime.
