JAMES MEADORS

  

Someone was contacting people and advising them to check their genealogy to determine if they were heirs to an oil fortune from the Spindle Top Oil Fields in Texas. The oil fields were part of the James Meadors Estate. They asked the people to send them $ 25,000 to help in the research of the titles of the land involved. Then they asked all the people to give their power of attorney to one person so that she could represent them. This appeared to be part of a scam, but it was not investigated. No conclusion was listed on the case.
