Joe Di Maggio, a former New York Yankee baseball player was born on November 25, 1914, at Martinez, CA. He received a threatening letter addressed to him on January 27, 1964. The letter mailed in Oakland, CA stated that if Di Maggio got married again, the woman and Di Maggio's son would be killed. Di Maggio stated every time he was publically identified with a woman, he would receive similar letters. Di Maggio had a total of three letters' he turned over to the FBI A threat was also made to an actress that Di Maggio had taken out to dinner in Rome in 1962. That threat was sent to the movie studio that employed the actress.
