World Bank Approves Power Rehabilitation Project

June 22, 2004

The World Bank approved a $105 million credit to the government of Afghanistan for an Emergency Power Rehabilitation Project that will restore and expand the distribution network, rehabilitate the largest generation station supplying Kabul and the associated transmission line, and improve commercial operations of the utility.
