Oyster Disease Research Program
This extensive program of ongoing research coupled with outreach and management efforts aims to better serve the restoration of healthy populations of oysters in the nation's coastal waters through research related to oyster disease.

Aquatic Invasive Species Research and Outreach Program
The goal of this program is to discover and develop information and tools that can lead to the prevention, monitoring and control of aquatic invasive species threatening United States coastal, oceanic and Great Lakes communities, resources and ecosystems.

Ballast Water Technology Demonstration Program
This joint NOAA-U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service-U.S. Maritime Administration Program supports projects to develop, test, and demonstrate technologies that treat ships' ballast water in order to reduce the threat of introduction of aquatic invasive species to U.S. waters through the discharge of ballast water.

National Marine Fisheries Service - Sea Grant Joint Graduate Fellowship Program in Population Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics OPEN
The NMFS - Sea Grant Joint Graduate Fellowship Program in Population Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics is designed to help Sea Grant fulfill its broad educational responsibilities and to strengthen the collaboration between Sea Grant and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS).  The Fisheries Fellowship is available to US citizens who are graduate students enrolled in PhD degree programs in academic institutions in the United States and its territories.  Sea Grant and NMFS, with required institutional matching funds, expect to support four new Fisheries Fellows in Population Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics in FY 2005.  Fisheries Fellows will work on thesis problems of public interest and relevance to NMFS and have summer internships at participating NMFS Science Centers or Laboratories under the guidance of NMFS mentors.

Sea Grant Industry Fellowship Program OPEN
The Sea Grant - Industry Fellowship Program (Industry Fellowship Program), which is available to graduate students enrolled in either MS or PhD degree programs in institutions of higher education in the United States and its territories, with required matching funds from private industrial sponsors, expects to support five new Industry Fellows in FY 2005. Industry Fellows will work on research and development projects on topics of interest to a particular industry/company. In a true partnership, the student, the faculty advisor, the Sea Grant College or institute, and the industry representative will work together, sharing research facilities and the cost of the activity.

The National Sea Grant College Program sponsors a variety of marine research, outreach and education projects, most through the state Sea Grant Programs. Each program announces the availability of funding on an annual or biannual basis.
