In response to a request from Oregon Senator Gordon Smith, NOAA Fisheries is extending the comment periods to November 12, 2004
for its proposed ESA hatchery listing policy and proposed listing determinations for West Coast salmon and steelhead. The
agency is also granting the Senator's request to postpone the public meeting on these proposals to be held in Portland
(for more information on the rescheduled date and venue click here). Senator Smith requested
the extension and postponement to allow for more meaningful public input on these proposals. |

NOAA Fisheries is extending the comment periods to Oct. 20, 2004, for its proposed ESA hatchery listing policy
and listing determinations for West Coast salmon and steelhead. The agency has also scheduled community meetings
