THE
NOAA AERONOMY LABORATORY: UNDERSTANDING OUR COMPLEX ATMOSPHERE
—
The NOAA Aeronomy Laboratory was formed nearly 40 years ago
to conduct scientific research on the Earth's atmosphere in
an effort to better understand and predict its behavior. Specifically,
its mission is to the study the chemical, radiative and dynamical
processes of the Earth's atmosphere. Today, the Aeronomy Laboratory’s
research focuses on climate
change, regional
air chemistry and stratospheric ozone-layer recovery.

USE
OF WATER LEVEL AND DATUM INFORMATION IN NOAA MARSH RESTORATION
EFFORTS
—
Several NOAA marsh restoration projects have recently benefited
from the use of water level and datum information. Although
typically used for navigational applications, this information
is now being utilized for non-navigational applications by
the NOAA Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and
Services' COASTAL Program.
