Operating Nuclear Power Reactors
A power reactor is a facility that makes electricity by the continuous
splitting of uranium atoms (i.e., a nuclear reaction). This facility is
often referred to as a nuclear power plant.
Fuel Cycle Facilities
A fuel cycle facility is involved in the processing of uranium for the
production of fuel for nuclear reactors.

- The NRC’s program for inspecting and evaluating safety performance
of nuclear power reactors. The Reactor Oversight Process web area include
up-to-date information about each reactor: performance indicators (statistics
showing safety performance) and inspection findings, updated quarterly;
inspections reports; and semiannual performance assessments.
