MILOPS
The Military Operations System (MILOPS), developed under sponsorship of the Office of Special Operations of
the Federal Aviation Administration, is an important advance in managing and expanding usable airspace.
Using the latest web-type technologies, MILOPS enables all segments of the civil aviation community to fly
Special Use Airspace - airspace once reserved for military and other special uses exclusively.
The
coordination and analytic capabilities that MILOPS brings to civil and military aviation creates significant
travel and fuel efficiencies for civilian users, while preserving the priority of military and other special
government users.

SUA/ISE Deployed
SUA/ISE (Special Use Airspace Inflight Service Enhancement) a new color graphic system
has been deployed to Flight Service Stations to add SUA and ISE capabilities to AFSS field sites.
This new system improves and enhances the quality of Inflight and Flight Watch services by
providing operators with the ability to graphically display flight information, weather,
topographical features, and navigation aids.
