linical Outcomes Utilizing Revascularization and Aggressive DruG Evaluation



   A team of internationally known investigators is addressing one of the most important health and economic issues awaiting trial. The Veterans Administration’s C O U R A G E Trial is the first attempt to study intensive medical therapy in a randomized trial. These investigators are studying the effects of intensive medical therapy, with and without coronary angioplasty (PTCA), in patients with stable angina.
   There is world wide scientific interest in the outcome of this trial. The study results will provide important answers on intensive medical therapy and PTCA and will have a dramatic impact on clinical practices and
health care budgets.
