Congratulations to the 2022 Olympians and Paralympians!

While the caucus co-chairs applauded President Biden’s diplomatic boycott of the Games in Beijing due to the Chinese Communist Party’s ongoing human rights abuses, we are proud that Team USA is competing on the world stage.

Welcome

Founded during the 111th Congress, the Congressional Olympic and Paralympic Caucus was created to support Team USA and the Olympic and Paralympic cause in Washington. The caucus is co-chaired by Members of Congress Jim Langevin, Ed Perlmutter, Elise Stefanik, and John Curtis.

The Congressional Olympic and Paralympic Caucus is dedicated to educating Congress about the goals and values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Bipartisan members discuss increasing diversity in athletics, supporting youth sports programs, promoting clean and fair competition, and highlighting the benefits of sports to individuals with disabilities. By having these conversations on and off Capitol Hill, members aim to support athletes in realizing their Olympic and Paralympic dreams.

The Congressional Olympic and Paralympic Caucus recognizes the value of sports in building a peaceful and better world, as well as the importance of Paralympic efforts to help individuals with disabilities live full and active lives through sporting activities and events.
