The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) believes that it is critical for federal, state, territorial, tribal, local governments, and partners to work together to ensure that COVID-19 vaccines are distributed according to public health equity principles.

Immigrants are the fabric of our nation; they feed America, care for our families, and help keep us safe. The U.S. Citizenship Act will restore dignity and humanity to our immigration system, prioritize keeping families together, and provide 21st Century solutions for border security.

“The Latino community continues to bear the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic with high rates of infections, hospitalizations, and deaths. Health inequities harm public health overall and it is critical that COVID-19 vaccines are distributed according to health equity principles. Doing so would not only help stop the spread of COVID-19, but would ensure critical economic, educational, and social activities resume.”
