Welcome from the Chair

Our Power, Our Message

On behalf of the Congressional Black Caucus' 58 members, Chairwoman Joyce Beatty welcomes you to the official website of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Congressional Black Caucus and, throughout the course of the year, we will celebrate the accomplishments of the CBC, and most importantly, will continue to highlight the ways in which the CBC stands at the forefront of the fight for the issues and interests of the Black Community. Throughout its history, the CBC has been known as the Conscience of the Congress, a distinction that has never been more important than it is at this time in history.

We encourage you to visit this site frequently to learn more about the ways in which we are fighting for racial and social justice, protecting and expanding voting rights, ensuring full and equitable participation on our economy and helping to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This site will inform, educate, and motivate, always with a focus on Our Power, Our Message.
