Welcome

The bipartisan House Congressional Career and Technical Education (CTE) Caucus was founded to support and promote CTE programs for workers of all ages. Co-chaired by Reps. Jim Langevin (D-RI) and Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA), the caucus spans the ideological spectrum and is comprised of Members of Congress representing constituents from across the United States.

CTE programs exist in every congressional district in every state, and they prepare workers for jobs in STEAM disciplines, allied health, construction, information technology, energy, cybersecurity, sustainability, and other areas that keep our nation competitive in the global economy. The members of this caucus believe that well-paying, family-sustaining jobs should be available to everyone, and CTE programming can make that goal a reality.

The skilled trades are some of the hardest jobs to fill in the United States, with hundreds of thousands of jobs open in the manufacturing, transportation, and utilities sectors. CTE programs make it possible for businesses to close the skills gap by training a competitive workforce to fulfill the demands of our 21st century economy.
