WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congresswoman and Congressional Black Caucus Chair Joyce Beatty (OH-03) voted to pass a package of public safety bills. At the negotiating table, Beatty pushed for and secured funding for de-escalation training, oversight by the Department of Justice, and an emphasis on mental health and breaking the cycle of violence.
