As you may have heard, the U.S. Senate just passed a bill that would make daylight savings time permanent. If signed into law, this would mean no more moving our clocks forward or backwards. I know Americans have strong opinions about day lights savings, so I'm eager to know your thoughts before this bill gets to the House of Representatives.

Getting a flu shot remains the single best way to protect yourself and your loved ones against the flu. As a doctor and former Chief Medical Officer for Sacramento County, I encourage everyone ages six months and older to get an annual flu vaccine. I just got my flu shot - it was safe, quick, and easy!

Every year, I’m privileged to nominate bright and hardworking students to attend our nation’s military service academies. Our service academies are some of the top universities in the country and help build strong leaders in our military and beyond. To help local young people navigate the application process, my office will host a Virtual Service Academy Information Day on Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Tax Information Workshop with Rep. Ami Bera

Tax Season has been extended to May 17th

Representatives from Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), and Small Business Administration (SBA) will give presentations on what you need to know for tax season and will be available for Q&A. Tax prep will NOT be available.
