Current Vaccine Eligibility Criteria as of September 21, 2021

State of Michigan

  • All Michigan residents 12-years-old and up, regardless of pre-existing conditions, are eligible for the vaccine.

Macomb County

  • All Michigan residents 12-years-old and up, regardless of pre-existing conditions, are eligible for the vaccine.

Oakland County

  • All Michigan residents 12-years-old and up, regardless of pre-existing conditions, are eligible for the vaccine.

Vaccine Resources for Macomb and Oakland County Residents

  • State of Michigan: You can find information about distribution, statewide vaccine data, and health guidance from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS).
  • Macomb County COVID-19 Vaccine Central: The Macomb County Health Department is currently taking appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations based on eligibility guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the MDHHS. You can also call (586) 463-8777 for more information. At this time, the demand for the vaccine outpaces the supply. Please continue to check the website regularly, however, as additional doses will become available.
  • Oakland County “Save Your Spot” Form: If you live or work in Oakland County and are eligible for the vaccine, you can fill out this form and request an appointment as they become available. Appointments can also be made by phone by calling (800) 848-5533. Please note that, due to a high volume of requests, call times may be longer than usual.

The Library of Congress is holding online office hours on education resources and teaching ideas using the Library collections. These sessions are open to all.

You can join Library of Congress education specialists every Tuesday and Thursday at 2 pm, EDT, at https://locgov.webex.com/meet/kmcg. Each session includes a 20 minute presentation with plenty of time for questions and answers with Library education experts.
