Winter 2023 Internships

If you'd like to apply to be an intern in our Washington, D.C. or Sacramento office, please submit the following requirements below as an application:

Please include "Winter 2023 Internship Application" in the subject line and email your application materials to sydney.dahiyat@mail.house.gov for DC positions and Joan.Dierkes@mail.house.gov for Sacramento positions. All applications are considered on a rolling basis.

Interns' responsibilities will vary. They will be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings, and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office.
